Sino-German Financial Cooperation: MoU Signed by Frankfurt Main Finance and China Innovation Finance Institute

During the first Chengdu Finance Week, Frankfurt Main Finance (FMF) and the China Innovation Finance Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening Sino-German cooperation in the financial sector.

Frankfurt Main Finance  (FMF) and the China Innovation Finance Institute(CIFI) published the financial centre development initiative during the first Chengdu Finance Week, with the aim of further strengthening close cooperation in the future. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Chengdu by Mr. Andreas Glänzel, Managing Director of Frankfurt Main Finance, and Mr. Calvin Chenggang FU, Chairman of China Innovation Finance Institute

The memorandum serves to strengthen the Sino-German cooperation in the financial sector. The CIFI will support FMF in further establishing Frankfurt as one of the world’s leading financial centres and promote its strategies in the financial markets in Greater China, especially in Western China. FMF supports Chengdu’s development into a leading financial centre in Western China.

To this end, the two financial centre initiatives will organize joint training courses, conferences and other activities to increase market awareness and media presence of both financial centres. In addition, CIFI and FMF will cooperate on research and thought leadership articles.

Both parties are aiming for a long-term and in-depth partnership covering many areas of the financial sector.
