Recently, the China Innovation Finance Institute was invited to attend a reception held at the Ambassador’s Residence of Luxembourg. Dozens of representatives from the Luxembourg government, associations, and financial institutions, including H.E. Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg Minister of Finance; H.E. Marc Hübsch Ambassador, Embassy of Luxembourg to China; and Julie Becker, Chief Executive Officer of Luxembourg Stock Exchange, engaged in discussions with the institute to explore long-term financial cooperation between Luxembourg and Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
Simultaneously, several roadshows and exchange activities on the “Cross-border Investment & Finance Digital Platform” and “Chengdu Finance Week” were held in Beijing. Together with Chengdu Municipal Financial Regulation Bureau, the institute conducted talks with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and Deutsche Boerse Group, as well as meetings with institutions such as OTP Bank, China Everbright Bank, China Construction Bank, and the Boao Forum for Asia, to share progress on the development of “Chengdu Finance Week” and the construction of the “Cross-border Investment & Finance Digital Platform”. These discussions primarily focused on topics such as expanding overseas investments through the integration of industry and finance, cooperation in Global Depository Receipts (GDR) in the European capital markets, and ESG investment and financing in the construction of international financial centres.
